The Movies pack

Blockbusters, franchises and animated classics almost everyone has seen. An Imposter+ pack. Because the titles are so famous, a single lazy clue like "space" can hand the impostor a free pass — precision matters.

The word list

These are every word in the Movies pack. In a game the crew sees one of them exactly; the impostor sees only the sub-theme in the right-hand column.

Giving clues for this pack

If you're on the crew

Reference a scene, a line or an object, not the genre. "Iceberg", "door", "necklace" all say Titanic to anyone who's seen it. "Sad" or "long" could be half of cinema.

If you're the impostor

You only get the theme — "Romantic Disaster Films", "Space Opera Franchises". Speak to mood and scale: "epic", "sequel", "iconic". Let the crew's first two clues tell you which blockbuster you're supposed to know.

Impostor's clue

“franchise”

The tell: "Franchise" is a clue about the movie business, not the movie. Everyone who'd seen it was talking about the island; the impostor was talking about box office.
